Who we are
Prodro Group Limited, trading as Provley, is the data controller. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17268651, 71 to 75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ. Questions about your data: hello@provley.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your account. Name, email address and login details, so you can sign in and we can send you the Monday email and notices about your account. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- Your site. The web addresses you register, the pages Provley reads from them, and the scores and suggested edits it produces. Provley reads only pages your site already allows crawlers to read. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- Your questions and answers. The questions you track, the answers the AI assistants return, and which sources they cite. These are kept so that every number on your overview can be checked against the answer it came from.
- Facts and experts. The facts you approve and the answers your named experts give from the links you send them, including their name and role. You are responsible for telling your experts that their answers may be published in articles on your site. We keep each fact with who said it and when, so the trail can be shown.
- The website audit. The domain you enter and the email address you give us. We keep a record of each domain audited so that every website gets one free audit. If you do not go on to create an account, your email address is deleted within 90 days. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the free audit fairly.
- Payment. Handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Contact. What you send us by email, to reply to you and for nothing else.
- Site usage. If you accept analytics cookies, which pages are visited and how people move through the site, held pseudonymously and used only to improve it. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw from the Cookie settings link on any page. The cookie policy has the detail.
AI assistants
To check what the assistants say and to write articles, Provley sends your tracked questions, your approved facts and the pages it reads to AI providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Perplexity. It uses Provley's own accounts with those providers, under their business terms, and sends only what the task needs. Nothing your experts say is sent anywhere until you approve it as a fact.
Who it is shared with
- The AI providers above, to carry out the work you ask for.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions under contract.
- Nobody else. Provley never publishes anything on your behalf, never sells your details, and does not use your content for advertising or to train models.
Where it is kept
In Europe, encrypted in transit and at rest. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
Your site data, questions, answers, facts and drafts for as long as your account is open. If you close it, an export is available for 30 days and then we delete it. An account unused for 24 months is deleted after two reminders and at least 30 days to export. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and take it elsewhere. Write to hello@provley.com and we will reply within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
When this notice changes in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect and keep a record of what changed here.
Terms of service.
What Provley does, what stays your responsibility, and what happens to your content and your price.
1. Introduction
1.1 These terms apply between you, the user of this website and service, and Prodro Group Limited trading as Provley, which owns and operates them.
1.2 Please read them carefully. They affect your legal rights. You are treated as agreeing to them when you first use the service.
1.3 If you do not agree to them, stop using the service.
1.4 You must be 18 or over to use Provley. By using it you confirm that you are.
1.5 Provley is software. It measures how often AI assistants name your website, scores your pages, and writes draft articles from facts you approve. It is not a marketing agency and nothing in the service is professional advice. Whether an AI assistant names your site depends on the question asked and on what else is published, and Provley does not guarantee that any page or article will be cited.
1.6 Provley never publishes anything on your behalf. Every article is a draft until you publish it on your own website, and every edit it suggests is yours to make or not.
1.7 These terms distinguish two kinds of user. You are a Business User if you use Provley for a business, including as an agency acting for clients. You are a Personal User if you use it in a purely personal capacity. Some clauses apply differently to each, and where they do we say so.
2. Your responsibilities
2.1 You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you approve and of what your named experts say. Provley builds articles only from approved facts, but approving a fact is your decision.
2.2 You are responsible for reviewing every draft before you publish it. Nothing goes onto your website unless you put it there.
2.3 You are responsible for having the right to publish the content of your pages and the answers your experts give, and for telling those experts how their answers will be used.
2.4 Provley asks the AI providers through its own accounts, and the cost is taken from your plan's credits. You are responsible for how you use what the service produces, including any content you publish from it.
2.5 You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
2.6 If you are an agency, you are responsible for having your client's authority to register their site and to act on their behalf in the service.
3. Your account
3.1 You may cancel at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.
3.2 We may suspend or close your account without notice if you breach these terms, if we believe the account is being used unlawfully, or if we are required to by law. Where we can tell you why, we will.
3.3 If we suspend an account for a suspected security problem, we will tell you and help you regain access.
4. Intellectual property and permitted use
4.1 Everything in the service other than what you put into it belongs to us or to our licensors. That includes the software, the design, the written content of this site and the Provley name and marks.
4.2 Your pages, your facts, your experts' answers and the articles written from them belong to you. We use them only to provide the service to you and as described in our privacy notice. We do not use them to train models.
4.3 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own sites, or for your clients' sites if you are an agency on a plan that allows it.
4.4 You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from the service without our written agreement.
5. Acceptable use
5.1 You must not use Provley to publish information you know or suspect to be false, to impersonate anyone, or to do anything unlawful.
5.2 You must not register a site you do not own or have authority over, interfere with the service, attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours, or place unreasonable load on the system.
5.3 You must not upload anything that infringes someone else's rights or contains malicious code.
6. Availability
6.1 The service is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it accurate, secure and running, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free from error.
6.2 Parts of the service depend on systems we do not control, including the AI assistants it asks and any Google service you connect. Where those are unavailable, change their behaviour or return incorrect results, Provley's numbers may be late, incomplete or need correcting. We will tell you what we know when this happens.
6.3 We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and offer a proportionate refund.
7. Liability
7.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a Personal User, nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7.2 Subject to 7.1, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
7.3 Subject to 7.1, and if you are a Business User, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, business, goodwill or opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss.
7.4 We are not liable for the content of anything you choose to publish, for what an AI assistant says about you, or for fees charged to you by an AI provider.
7.5 We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
8. Fees, credits, refunds and price changes
8.1 The website audit is free, once per website. Plans are charged monthly. All prices shown include VAT.
8.2 Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Every piece of AI work uses credits from that allowance, and Provley shows the cost before the work starts. Unused credits do not carry over.
8.3 If you are a Personal User you have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Where you ask us to begin immediately, for example by running the audit, and we complete the work within that period, the right to cancel is lost for that work. We will make this clear before you confirm.
8.4 Once an audit result has been delivered, its fee is not refundable, because the service has been performed. If you have paid for a month of a plan and cancel, the plan runs to the end of that month and is not renewed.
8.5 If we change our prices, the new price applies to new customers immediately. If you already hold a paid plan, you keep the price you signed up at for as long as that plan remains continuously active. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any change that would affect what you pay on renewal.
9. Your content: keeping, exporting and deleting
9.1 You can export your facts, drafts and answer history at any time, on any plan.
9.2 If you close your account, we make an export available and keep your data for 30 days so you can download it. After that we delete it.
9.3 You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will, whatever the timescales above. Deleting your Provley data does not remove anything you have published on your own website.
9.4 We may keep limited information for longer where the law requires it. Our privacy notice sets out what and for how long.
10. Privacy
10.1 Our privacy notice and cookie policy form part of these terms.
11. General
11.1 You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours where doing so does not affect your rights.
11.2 We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and you may cancel without penalty if you do not accept it. Minor changes take effect when published.
11.3 These terms, with the privacy notice and cookie policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
11.4 If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
11.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a Personal User living elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
11.6 If something goes wrong, contact us first and we will try to put it right.
Cookie policy.
What cookies are, which ones this site uses, and how to change your choice at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others help the people who run it understand how it is used. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, on provley.com and in the Provley product.
Essential cookies
These are always on, because the site and the product do not work without them. They hold no more than a session reference and your cookie choice.
- Session. Set when you sign in to Provley so you stay signed in. Ends when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
- Your cookie choice. Remembers whether you accepted all cookies or essential only, so we do not ask again. Kept for 12 months.
Analytics cookies
Set only if you choose Accept all. They tell us which pages are visited, how people arrive, and where they leave, so we can improve the site. The data is pseudonymous: it is not used to identify you, and it is not shared for advertising. They are set by Google Analytics (cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier), with IP addresses anonymised, and are kept for up to two years. Google's own privacy policy covers how Google handles that data.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no social media pixels. Fonts are served from our own site, so reading a page sends nothing to a third party.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, signing in will not work.
